What is a certified flight instructor / instrument?
The certified flight instructor / instrument (CFII) rating on a flight instructor certificate allows you to teach instrument skills to students looking to get an instrument rating or a CFII rating.
What is required to become a Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument?
The Basic Requirements for obtaining a Commercial Pilot Certificate are as follows:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a commercial pilot certificate with an instrument rating
- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate
- Receive required training per FAA regulations
- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test
